Mr Li established the Lishi Company in Northern China almost 25 years ago with the aim of offering the best quality range of picks and tools to open Vehicles without causing any damage to the locking systems. The Lishi Company was started as a family concern, and it remains a family company to this day. The name Lishi originates from the family name Li, and the Mandarin word for family, 'Shi'. The Lishi brand started with humble beginnings by offering high quality picks for auto locksmiths to pick locks in a variety of car locks. The superb product quality backed up by easy to use tools, and the assurance that Lishi tools do no damage to the locks, soon gave the Lishi Brand a worldwide reputation.
The success of the Lishi picks led to the demand for a greater range of vehicles and the Lishi Pick brand grew to 23 standard picks covering most laser and non laser style keyways. Having satisfied the market for a superior pick, Mr Li turned his attention to developing tools that would enable the auto locksmith decoding a lock to make a key. This may happen for example when a key has been lost. The Lishi decoders lead the way in auto tools for locksmiths who require the facility to 'find' the key combination from a keyway, and Lishi decoders deserve their reputation for being the best auto tool's in the World.
In 2009, Mr Li, turned his attention to developing a tool that could pick and decode an auto lock in one simple operation. Again the ability to do this work without causing any damage to the lock was of paramount importance. So came into the market the renowned Lishi 2-in-1 Pick/decoders.
The Lishi brand being so widely regarded has been the subject of many inferior copies and counterfeits. So in May 2009 Lishi signed a partnership agreement with UAP Limited of the UK. UAP and their locksmith division Tradelocks have an unrivalled reputation for great products, great prices and unparelled service. UAP through its Tradelocks division would give to Lishi a cutting edge view on the world of auto locks. Lishi would in return give to UAP the worldwide distribution for all new tools, including the 2-in-1 Pick/decoders.
The Partnership has already seen a huge flurry of activity with new products being introduced into the market. The Lishi pick range
now stands at 30, with 21 decoders and plans to have 28 2-in-1 Pick/decoders before the end of 2011.
The Lishi Partnership has also recognised the need to protect the Lishi brand in International markets. So in July 2009, the Lishi Partnership introduced the 'Genuine Lishi Product' logo for all export orders outside of China. The exclusive brand will feature on all products sold direct from Lishi via UAP. UAP are determined to protect the Lishi brand for the benefit of Lishi customers and the ultimate consumer.
The Lishi Brand is being further enhanced with the establishing of Lishi Approved Training Centres. These centres aim to promote the benefits of the Lishi brand and the Lishi concept of Non destructive lock entry. The concept is simple: 'why trust your valuable car to someone who is not qualified to work on it?' The Lishi centres aim to promote excellence in auto-locksmith work internationally.
International Genuine Lishi products can be bought in 2 ways;
Within the EEC - Genuine Lishi can be bought via Tradelocks or one of the approved Lishi Distributors being set up in each EEC country.
Outside the EEC - Genuine Lishi can be bought via 'Genuine Lishi Exports' based in Shenzhen or one of their approved Lishi Distributors.
The Lishi Brand offers to all auto locksmiths the very best tools in their field, and they offer to the consumer a truly non destructive method
of entry into virtually any vehicle in the world.
NON DESTRUCTIVE AUTO LOCKSMITHS
There are many ways to try and gain access to a vehicle. Some use air bags with wire levers, others use Rakes which rub over the wafers in the
lock to make them move. But only Genuine Lishi tools have been designed to pick the lock, accurately and safely.
Rakes or Inner Groove picks to give them their full title work on mainly older vehicles with non laser cut keys. These work by rubbing the
wafers to try to get them to move to the open position. But this is a harsh method of entry, and in the wrong hands, all that is achieved is the
wafers get damaged. Now the customers not only has to gain entry to the vehicle, but also needs to replace the locks as well, making this a
very expensive exercise.
Air Bags and wires work by using an air bag in the door to create a gap big enough to manipulate a wire to hook a door lock or move a handle.
But the wires can scratch the car interior, the air bags can make too big a gap and bend the door in its frame (you will only know when you are
on your way and hear the wind getting into the car). Air bags are also useless for getting into Car Boots (the most common 'lock-out')
Lishi Picks work differently. Lishi picks are designed to gently move each wafer in the lock one at a time. These picks require a degree of skill and practisc. Using Lishi tools is totally non destructive to the door, the frame or the locks.
LISHI PICKS, DECODERS AND 2-IN-1
The most common question we are asked is what is the difference between the 3 types of products, and what is the benefit of each, and what a locksmith should use.
The answer is pretty simple.
LISHI PICKS: these open the car lock, nothing more. Most 'lock-outs' are caused because someone has locked their keys in the boot - most often in the boot. What is required is for someone to open the car, quickly, cleanly and with NO DAMAGE. In these instances, the LISHI Pick should be used or the Lishi 2-in-1 Pick/Decoder.
LISHI DECODERS: now suppose someone has lost their keys, or had them stolen. The requirement for the auto locksmith is now to find the code of the key from the lock, and then cut a key. This is called DECODING the lock. The process requires a tool finding every wafer in the lock and determining the size of the wafer. This is what a LISHI DECODER does.
Some Locks can be DECODED whilst they are still locked. In these instances an Auto locksmith needs simply to decode the lock, cut a key and then use the key to open the lock.
Other Locks need to be opened first before the lock can be decoded.
To DECODE locks the auto locksmith will need to be able to offer a key cutting service.
LISHI provides a full list of decoders and whether the lock can be decoded in the Open or the Locked position.
LISHI 2-in-1 PICK/DECODERS: these are designed to open and decode a lock at the same time. This makes the work quicker and easier for the auto locksmith, with locks being picked open and decoded in under 3 minutes.
KEYLESS AUTO LOCKS
There has been a growth in keyless auto locks, especially in the USA. But all vehicles using Keyless entry also have a keyed by-pass needed to get into the vehicle in case of loss, theft or keys left in the vehicle.
